Japanese luxury carmaker Lexus has announced a new initiative for the sale and purchase of pre-owned Lexus vehicles. The new Lexus Certified Program will allow existing owners of Lexus vehicles to sell them back and for new buyers to get pre-owned cars that pass a rigorous inspection. The step has been taken to increase the company’s presence in India and to help people find a quality Lexus vehicle at a reasonable price. This endeavour will help more people to find their way into the Lexus ecosystem.
Under the new program, Lexus will take pre-owned Lexus vehicles from existing customers and test them against a comprehensive 203-point check to ensure that the car has no major faults. This way the customers that buy the pre-owned vehicles through this programme will have peace of mind, knowing that the vehicle has no hidden faults or issues that could surprise them later on. Lexus will ensure that all the documents related to the car and the service history are in order. Even after customers have bought a pre-owned vehicle, they are covered by a warranty of up to two years or 30,000km. The company is also offering up to three complimentary services with these products.

Currently, Lexus has a number of luxury hybrid vehicles on offer that include SUVs, sedans and even the sporty LC 500h coupe. The most affordable model in their lineup is the ES 300h sedan which starts at Rs 59.50 lakh (ex-showroom) while their most affordable SUV is the NX 350h which starts at Rs 64.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
