The police commissioner said the actor was asked to submit his documents – driving licence, RC, insurance and pollution papers. The actors failed to submit their documents, which landed them in trouble.

Ravindra said, “As of now, we have not received any response from the actor and if there is no response from the actor then charge sheet will be filed.”

Sai Dharam Tej, who has featured in films like ‘Supreme’, ‘Subramaniam For Sale’, ‘Vijeta’ and others, met with an accident in September. The actor managed to avoid an almost fatal accident.

The actor was taken to a private hospital, and it took him more than a month to recover from the injuries caused by the accident.

The commissioner also informed that around 759 people lost their lives in road accidents in 2021.

“However, there has been a decrease in the number of deaths compared to last year. There were 212 accidents due to drunk driving, and Rs 4.5 crore fines were collected during drunk driving inspections,” Stephen said.

“In addition, 9,981 licenses were suspended for driving under the influence of alcohol,” the commissioner said.
