Lucknow: On Sunday, 17 suspected cases of dengue were reported in the government hospitals of Lucknow. Of these, 16 were admitted to Lokbandhu Raj Narayan Joint Hospital, while one was admitted to the hospital. Balrampur Hospital.
All these patients were tested by card method, which is not considered confirmatory by the health department.
However, none of the new persons who came to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (Civil) Hospital with symptoms of fever were found to be dengue positive.
Apart from 16 admitted in Lokbandhu Hospital, nine patients already admitted in Dengue ward were also discharged on Sunday.
Since November 3, 57 suspected dengue patients have been admitted to the hospital, while 61 patients have been discharged during the same period.
At Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (Civil) Hospital, Medical Superintendent Dr SK Nanda said, “No new case of dengue was reported on Sunday, but we have 16 suspected patients admitted at present. Since it is a holiday, people come for tests. Haven’t come out but it is expected that more people will report in a day or two.”
“We had two dengue cases on Saturday,” he said.
Lokbandhu Hospital had admitted 24 dengue patients on 3 November, followed by 10 patients on 4 November, one patient on 5 November, six patients on 6 November and finally 16 on 7 November.
