As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine entered its 13th day, India on Monday expressed its deep concern over the evacuation of Indian students from Sumi, saying that “there has not been a safe corridor for our students in Sumi.” Speaking at the UN Security Council, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, TS Tirumurti, said, “We have reiterated our urgent demand for a safe passage for all citizens, including Indians. As reported by news agency ANI, we are deeply concerned that despite repeated requests from both the sides, a safe corridor has not been created for our students in Sumi.
