Lata Mangeshkar health update: Doctors request to ‘stop disturbing speculation’

New Delhi: Country’s veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar has been in the news for her health for the past few days. The veteran singer was admitted to the hospital earlier this month after testing positive for COVID-19. Lata Mangeshkar had reportedly contracted the virus from one of her house-helps.

Various speculations are being made in the media regarding the health of Lata Mangeshkar. Now according to the latest update from the doctor who is treating Lata didi, the veteran singer is showing signs of improvement.

An update about her health has been tweeted from Lata Mangeshkar’s official Twitter account. In a tweet shared on the singer’s official page, the doctor requested to ‘stop the disturbing speculation’ and also pointed out that the singer is ‘showing signs of improvement’.

The tweet read, ‘My heartfelt request to stop the disturbing speculations. Update from Dr Pratt Samdani of Breach Candy Hospital. Lata didi is already showing positive signs of improvement and is being treated in ICU. We wish and pray for his speedy recovery and return home.”

Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital after testing positive for coronavirus. According to several media reports, Lata didi is also reportedly suffering from pneumonia. He is in ICU and under observation since his hospitalization.

Meanwhile, Dr Pratta Samdani, who is treating Lata Mangeshkar, earlier told in a statement to ANI that the veteran singer will take time to recover due to her old age. “It will take time for him to recover due to old age,” ANI quoted the doctor as saying.
