Ahead of today’s proceedings, opposition parties held a meeting at the office of senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Khadke. During this, Rahul Gandhi was also present.

The fourth and last week of the monsoon session of Parliament begins today. The work for the last three weeks has been very rough. It is believed that this week can also be blessed with noise. The opposition parties are creating a ruckus over the espionage scandal, three new agricultural laws and the issue of inflation. They are demanding a discussion on these issues, while the government says that the opposition does not want to allow Parliament to function.

Congress MP Manish Tewari has sent Adjournment Motion Notice for discussion on Pegasus Project in Lok Sabha. At the same time, Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda gave Suspension of Business Notice in Rajya Sabha regarding the demonstration of farmers.

Government in preparation for passing many important bills
On the first day of the last week of the session, the government is preparing to pass many important bills. The 127th Constitutional Amendment Bill, which empowers the states to make an OBC list, will be introduced in the House today. It is believed that no political party will oppose this bill related to reservation, so that it will be easily passed.

6 bills to be introduced in Lok Sabha on Monday
A total of 6 bills are to be introduced in the Lok Sabha on Monday. These include the OBC Reservation Bill, the Limited Liability Partnership Bill, the Deposit and Insurance Credit Guarantee Bill, the National Commission for Homeopathy Bill, the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Bill and the Constitution Amendment Schedule Tribes Order Bill.

4 bills to be brought in Rajya Sabha today
4 Bills will be brought in Rajya Sabha today, which have already been passed by Lok Sabha. Of these, Appropriation Bills three and four are for passing the earlier expenditure. Apart from these, the Tribunal Reform Bill and General Insurance Bill are also listed.

8 bills passed in Rajya Sabha in the third week
In the third week of the monsoon session of Parliament, 8 bills were passed in the Rajya Sabha amid uproar by opposition parties. This increased the working of the House. It rose to 24.20% from 13.70% in the second week. The first week of the session which started on July 19 saw the highest performance of 32.20%. In the third week, 21 hours, 36 minutes were wasted due to the uproar.

Bill passed without debate
Due to the uproar in both the houses, many bills were passed without debate. This is not good for a healthy democracy. The Speaker of the House also repeatedly reminded the MPs, but it did not seem to have any significant effect. Some opposition leaders also opposed the practice.

Work done for 18 hours in first and second week
In the first and second week of the monsoon session, both the houses could function for only 18 hours, which should have been 107 hours. The Lok Sabha worked for 7 hours and the Rajya Sabha for 11 hours. Taxpayers have suffered a loss of more than Rs 133 crore due to non-functioning.
