Lashana Lynch delved into the possibility of featuring as Binary beyond her surprise feature in the Captain Marvel sequel.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been abuzz with speculation since the surprise appearance of Lashana Lynch as Binary in the end-credit scene of The Marvels last November. Fans were thrilled to see Lynch in the X-Men universe and have been wondering if she will reprise her role as a member of the X-Men in future films. Lynch recently shared her thoughts on the matter in an interview with ComicBookMovie.com. When asked about the possibility of Binary joining the X-Men, Lynch expressed uncertainty, saying, “I mean, even that sentence, I’m like, ‘Am I?’” She revealed that there have been no discussions about her character’s future involvement in the X-Men franchise.

Lynch also mentioned the brief duration of her appearance in The Marvels, attributing it to her commitments to another project at the time.

“I love that I didn’t know that was happening. That’s something that came across time as a slow plan. Well, for me, anyway. They probably had it planned the whole time,” she added.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding her character’s future, Lynch expressed her excitement for the direction of the MCU, stating, “I genuinely don’t know what’s next, but I think with where the franchise is going, it’s naturally going to be exciting.”

Meanwhile, details about the highly anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine film have started to emerge. Directed by Shawn Levy and featuring a script by Wendy Molyneaux, Lizzie Molyneaux-Loeglin, Rhett Reese, and Paul Wernick, the movie promises to be a thrilling addition to the MCU. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will reprise their roles as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, alongside other returning cast members.

Speaking about the film’s connection to the MCU, Levy emphasised the importance of secrecy, stating, “I’m so wary of giving anything away because I’ve learned the hard way that even with a few titles – like any Marvel title – everything and anything you say can lead to not only rumours but misinformation.”

Fans can expect Deadpool & Wolverine to hit theatres on July 26th, promising an exciting addition to the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe. Lynch’s potential return to the X-Men universe and the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine film has MCU enthusiasts eagerly anticipating what lies ahead for their favourite characters.
