Land-for-job case: CBI names Tejashwi, Lalu, others in fresh Chargesheet

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday named Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav in its charge sheet against the alleged land-for-jobs scam.

The chargesheet was filed before Special Judge Gitanjali Goel at Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court. The CBI has named Tejashwi along with a company and several others as accused in the case.

Former Bihar CM and former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabari Devi were also made accused by the CBI.

What is land for job scam?

Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav is accused of taking land from people in exchange for jobs in the railways between 2004 and 2009, when he was the Railway Minister.

For this, CBI had registered a case against Lalu Yadav. The CBI had filed a chargesheet in the case last year, in which it had claimed that appointments were made illegally by violating the procedure of the Railways.
