Lamborghini Urus Performante India launch tomorrow: What to expect from this high-performance luxury SUV – Times of India

After its launch in foreign markets, Lamborghini is all set to bring the Urus Performante to India tomorrow, i.e. November 24, 2022. The Peformante is basically an updated, track-focused version of the company’s Urus SUV that comes with a range of exterior, interior, as well as mechanical updates.
First and foremost – the powertrain. The Urus Performante makes use of the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine as the regular Urus, but it now puts out 666 PS of maximum power, i.e. 16 PS more than before. The 850 Nm peak torque figure remains unchanged though. Lamborghini claims that they have managed to reduce the weight of the SUV by 47 kg. As a result, the Urus Performante can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, 0.3 seconds quicker than its predecessor. 0 – 200 km/h comes in just 11.5 seconds, before the Performante tops out at 306 km/h.
The air suspension that is currently offered with the Urus will now be replaced with coil springs for a sportier setup. Also, the Urus Performante will lose out on off-road modes like Sabbia, Neve and Terra, which stand for Sand, Snow and Mud respectively. Instead, the performance-oriented SUV will get a new Rally mode, along with the existing Strada, Sport and Corsa modes.

The overall shape of the SUV remains unchanged, however, Lamborghini has introduced some styling updates to make the Urus Performante look fresh. These changes include redesigned bumpers on both ends, a new bonnet with cooling vents, along with new vents on the front fenders. The SUV comes with 22-inch alloy wheels, while larger 23-inch units are optional – wrapped in specially developed Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres.
As compared to the outgoing Urus, the Performante is 20 mm lower, 16 mm wider, and 25 mm longer. On the inside, the Urus Performante comes with an all-black layout with ‘Performante’ badges here and there. The overall cabin design remains unchanged. The seats now feature a hexagonal stitching design, and the interior is finished in Alcantara as standard.
