Lalu Yadav Health Update: Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav’s health is improving, his daughter Misa Bharti said on Friday. Bharti said Lalu, who is undergoing treatment at Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), is now able to sit on his own and can stand with support.

Tweeting some pictures of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief, Misa Bharti tweeted, “Now Lalu ji is able to get out of bed. Can stand with support. Lalu ji’s condition is much better…”

He said, “Lalu ji’s morale and his condition is much better now because of all your prayers. Please don’t pay heed to rumours. Keep him in your prayers.”

Lalu Yadav was admitted to AIIMS on Wednesday night after being airlifted from Patna, where he was given initial treatment at a private hospital for multiple fractures caused by a fall on a resident of Rabri Devi.

The 74-year-old former Chief Minister of Bihar is accompanied by a team of doctors and his eldest daughter Misa Bharti, a Rajya Sabha MP who is also MBBS.

Earlier on Thursday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh called up RJD leader and Lalu’s younger son Tejashwi Yadav to inquire about his father’s health.

Lalu Yadav, out on bail in fodder scam cases, had last month taken permission from the Jharkhand High Court to travel abroad for kidney transplant, especially to Singapore.
