Lalu Prasad Yadav has got bail from Jharkhand High Court. The hearing in the illegal withdrawal case from Doranda Treasury was held on Friday in the court of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh. Lalu gets relief after 66 days in illegal withdrawal case from Doranda treasury.

During the hearing, the court heard all the parties. After that gave his verdict. It was argued in the court that Lalu Prasad Yadav has spent 40 months in jail, which is half the sentence more than 30 months.

10 lakhs to be deposited
Lalu Yadav got a big relief after getting bail from the High Court. The court has granted conditional bail to Lalu. Due to this, he will have to deposit half of the fine amount fixed by the CBI court along with the punishment.

Received bail on 3 conditions
Lalu has got bail on 3 conditions. This includes depositing a lower bond amount of 10 lakhs as well as not leaving the country without taking permission from the High Court during bail. Also, he cannot change his mobile number and address.

Lalu has served more than half the term of the sentence.
During the last hearing, the CBI had requested the court to give time to file the counter affidavit. At the same time, senior advocate Kapil Sibal told the court that Lalu has spent 11 months more than half the sentence. Lalu Yadav was convicted in this case on 15 February 2022.

So far 4 hearings have been held in this case. On March 4, there were errors in the petition. The record of the lower court was summoned on March 11. On April 1 the judge did not reach the court and on April 8, the CBI had sought time. Now the records of the case from the lower court have reached the High Court. Along with this, the CBI has also filed its reply.
