Kurukshetra University will give national introduction Education An official said on Saturday that the Policy-2020 has been successfully implemented in all the on-campus undergraduate programs last year in all affiliated colleges from the upcoming academic session.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva said that the university was one of the few which took the most important and significant initiative to implement the policy in all on-campus undergraduate programmes.

“It will be introduced in all affiliated colleges of Kurukshetra University from the July 2023 session,” Sachdeva told PTI.

“At the postgraduate level, Kurukshetra University will implement the policy in all on-campus programs from July,” he said.

When asked how he assessed the policy, Sachdeva said, “It focuses on empowering the youth in several areas such as multiple entry and exit systems, knowledge in their chosen discipline, skill development, moral and ethical values.” To develop, internship, training and social engagement for the benefit of humanity”.

Speaking on boosting research at Kurukshetra University, Sachdeva said the university has instituted an honorary institute to reward the best researchers in seven categories, provide grants of up to Rs 2 lakh for research projects to 50 teachers and facilitate patent filing. Initiatives like appointing professors have been taken.

He said that the university has filed 53 patents in the last 18 months, out of which 11 have been awarded.

“We have also established Kurukshetra University technology Incubation Center and a Community Incubation Centre,” he said.
