Kurukshetra: Five people including two cousins ​​were killed when a car rammed into a tree near Aman petrol pump on Shahabad-Nalvi road in Nalvi village of the district. Kurukshetra in the district early Friday
Police said the deceased persons were identified as Goldie of Goripur village, Vishal of Nalvi village, Gurmeet Ankit and Brijpal (cousins) of Jainpur village of Basantpur village in Kurukshetra district and they were in the age group of 20 to 22 years.
Shahabad Police Station Home Officer (SHO) Inspector Prem Singh said, “As per spot inspection, it was found that all the five deceased were traveling in a car which collided with a eucalyptus tree after losing control on the Shahabad-Nalvi road near Nalvi village. At some point in the night the car fell into a gorge on the side of the road about 8 to 10 feet deep, leaving the road unnoticed. We got the information from the Dial 112 service at the police station in the morning at around 6.30 am on Friday and Reached the spot immediately.”
Shahabad SHO said that after around 9 pm on Thursday night, the rural road was empty and it appears that no one saw the accident taking place and the injured could not be rescued in time, leading to the death of the seriously injured.
“All the five were found dead in the morning and their car was completely damaged and their bodies were recovered with the help of a crane,” the Shahabad SHO said.
As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and recovered the five bodies and took them to the LNJP Civil Hospital in Kurukshetra for post-mortem.
The SHO said that the postmortem of all the five people was done at LNJP Civil Hospital in Kurukshetra and their bodies would be handed over to the relatives. He said that he has not received any complaint in this matter and action has been taken under Section 174 of CrPC.
Ankit worked in Vishal Mega Mart in Ambala, Brijpal ran a meat shop in Basantpur village, Goldie was a Class IV employee at Aadesh Hospital, Mohri, while Vishal and Gurmeet worked as laborers and all the deceased were unmarried.
