Shraddha expressed how being recognised by the character’s name is the ultimate validation for an actor.
Shraddha Arya has impressed viewers with her stunning portrayal of Dr. Preeta Arora on Kundali Bhagya for over six years. Her performance in the show has earned her numerous awards and nominations in the television industry. In a recent interview, Shraddha opened up about her journey and expressed how being recognised by the character’s name is the ultimate validation for an actor.
According to Times Now, Shraddha shared, “It feels magical when fans and people address me by my character, Preeta. Being recognised by your character’s name is the ultimate validation for an actor. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication that go into bringing a character to life. I am genuinely happy and grateful for the love and support from my fans.”
The actress further revealed that developing a character is a demanding journey that requires commitment. Sharing an incident, Shraddha said, “I recently went shopping and heard someone’s mother saying to her daughter ‘Woh Preeta hai na.’ That moment made me smile. The aim is to become synonymous with your character’s name and attaining that recognition entails a significant investment of time and dedication. I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of such an iconic show and grateful from the bottom of my heart to be known as Preeta.”
Kundali Bhagya is a spin-off of Kumkum Bhagya. It initially featured Shraddha Arya, Dheeraj Dhoopar, and Manit Joura in the lead roles. In 2022, Shakti Arora replaced Dheeraj Dhoopar, and Shakti Anand later replaced Shakti Arora in 2023. The show took a generation leap in March 2023 and now stars Sana Sayyad, Baseer Ali, and Paras Kalnawat as the second-generation leads.
Shraddha Arya started her career in entertainment with Zee TV’s talent hunt show India’s Best Cinestar Ki Khoj, where she secured the position of first runner-up. In 2006, she made her acting debut with the Tamil movie Kalvanin Kadhali, opposite actor-director S. J. Surya. After this, she entered Bollywood with Ram Gopal Varma’s Nishabd and appeared in the Shahid Kapoor starrer Paathshaala.
In 2011, Shraddha made her television debut in the Star Bharat’s show Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki. Her breakthrough came with her role as Paakhi in Life OK’s Tumhari Pakhi, and she further gained prominence as Ayesha in Dream Girl – Ek Ladki Deewani Si. Since July 2017, she has been playing the character of a physiotherapist Dr. Preeta in Kundali Bhagya.
