New Delhi: Twitter-rival Ku is planning to introduce an ‘identity tick’ option for all its ordinary users on a voluntary basis as the domestic microblogging platform broadens its verification program beyond the current yellow badges given to eminent accounts.
Koo co-founder and CEO Apramaya Radhakrishna told PTI that although the platform aspires to expand to other countries, it will not be in a rush to do so. Foreign expansion plans are not an immediate priority.
Instead, Koo will have a razor-sharp focus on ensuring market leadership at its home turf India and strive to ensure that all of its learnings about local cultures and ethos are carried over to the current testing base within India and in Nigeria. Ho.

Founded by Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidavatka, Koo was launched in March 2020 to allow users to express themselves and engage on the platform in Indian languages.
It supports multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu and Bengali.
