KRK criticizes Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj, calls it a propaganda film

Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited film Samrat Prithviraj has been released in theaters on June 3 and is getting a great response from the audience. The film directed by Chandra Prakash Dwivedi is also getting mixed response from critics. Self-proclaimed film critic Kamal Rashid Khan, popularly known as KRK, in a series of tweets criticized the historical drama based on the life of King Prithviraj Chauhan.

KRK tweeted that Samrat Prithviraj’s first show has started and he is alone in the theatre. KRK also said that propaganda cannot work in the foreign market.

In another tweet, he mentioned that Samrat Prithviraj’s afternoon show is not witnessing any increase in the viewership in the theatres. According to KRK, the film which was only for promotions has failed miserably. The anti-national actor termed Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited film as ‘a disaster’.

Criticizing a sequence in the film, KRK tweeted that Akshay Kumar Shame on doing a film where he has to kidnap his brother’s daughter to marry her. Expressing his anger on this scene, KRK wrote that a brother’s daughter is like his own child.

KRK also condemned the death scene of Emperor Prithviraj. Describing Emperor Prithviraj as a comedy film, KRK wrote that the series of death of the warrior king is laughable.

However, KRK was also trolled by many fans of Akshay Kumar and film lovers. Many users wrote that the acting of the actors can be criticized, but not the emperor Prithviraj who protected his land till his death. Replying to the trollers, KRK replied that instead of criticizing them, people should take out their criticism on Akshay Kumar and Chandra Prakash Dwivedi. According to him, both of them have made fun of Emperor Prithviraj.

Neither Akshay Kumar nor Chandra Prakash Dwivedi has responded to KRK’s tweet so far. So far, Samrat Prithviraj has earned around Rs 11 crore on the first day.
