Actor Tiger Shroff’s sister Krishna Shroff is often in the headlines like her brother. Amidst speculations of Krishna joining the film industry like his father Jackie Shroff and brother Tiger, he has opted to become an entrepreneur in the field of fighting sports.
Recently, in an interview, Krishna opened up about his career choice, his love for mixed martial arts (MMA) and his bonding with brother Tiger.
Matrix Fight Night, an obsessive project by Krishna and Tiger, returns to India in its eighth season after being delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. MFN co-owner Krishna was recently in Delhi to promote the event. MFN-8 has started from 1st April at Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi.
Unlike his father and brother, fitness enthusiast Krishna chose to stay away from Bollywood.
“I know what I want and what I don’t. I’m lucky to have what that world has given me, but the film business isn’t something I can relate to. I’m very clear about what I love to do I wake up every day to be able to do it. If I do what I don’t like, I’ll never be able to give my 100 percent and get better. For me, that’s important,” Krishna said Tell me about your career option.
Krishna said that MMA is more than just a business for him. “Fitness has always been a part of my family, and it is at the heart of who I am. I have been a fan of the sport for over a decade. It has had a significant impact on my life. As I followed sports I started doing things and doing for fitness goals, I became a better version of myself. It gave me a new sense of comfort and confidence as a woman, which I didn’t have before,” she explained.
As she understood well what athletes and martial artists do, it made her appreciate what her brother does on screen. Tiger often does martial arts and gymnastics in his films.
“It’s amazing to see how easy he makes these difficult things. Growing up, it’s great to see his brother do larger-than-life things and get a better understanding of it now”, she said.
Krishna claimed that she faced criticism and negative comments about her appearance as a child, with people comparing her to her brother Tiger, who was also fit at the time. But he used these criticisms to better himself.
He said that any comparison with Tiger is a compliment in itself.
