Kris Srikkanth birthday: Interesting facts about the former Indian opener, and where he is now

Former India captain Krishnamachari Srikkanth turned 62 on 21 December. Srikanth was one of the most flamboyant openers to attack the opposition and was one of the main architects of India’s victorious 1983 World Cup winning campaign.

He was also the chairman of selectors and picked the team that won the World Cup in 2011. He played 43 Tests and 146 One Day Internationals for India.

As far as his qualifications are concerned, Srikanth is an Electrical Engineer by qualification and completed his studies at the College of Engineering in Guindy.
