Kovid Update: 2,503 Kovid cases have been registered in India in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest in 677 days

new Delhi: There is a steep decline in the cases of corona virus in India and 2,503 fresh Kovid-19 have been registered in the country. Cases came on Sunday, which is the lowest in 677 days. In the last 24 hours, 4,377 people were cured of the virus, while 27 people died of the deadly disease.

The country’s daily positivity rate has now come down to 0.47%.

Maharashtra

According to a PTI report, Maharashtra on Sunday reported 251 COVID-19 cases, taking the state’s tally to 78,71,202, while the death toll due to the viral infection remained unchanged at 1,43,752.

He said the active number in Maharashtra was 2,524.

He said the cities of Pune and Mumbai recorded 57 and 44 fresh infections respectively, while the Pune administrative circle, which also includes Solapur and Satara districts, added 88 cases. 81 new cases were reported in the day in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Maharashtra’s health department data showed that 448 people were discharged during the day, taking the number of recoveries to 77,20,992, which is 98.09 per cent of the total caseload.

It was also learned that the mortality rate in the state was 1.82 per cent.
