New Delhi: India has reported 30,773 new COVID-19 cases, a decline of 13.7% as compared to yesterday and 309 deaths in a span of 24 hours. Union Health Ministry Said on Sunday. The current recovery rate is 97.68%, it said.

With a decline of 8,481 active cases, the country’s active case load came down to 3,32,158, data from the ministry showed. Active cases currently account for 0.99% of the total cases in India.

As per, the death toll has risen to 4,448,38 with 309 daily fatalities. Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Meanwhile, 38,945 more people were discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries in the country to 32,671,167.
In addition, 15,59,895 tests were conducted on Saturday, taking the total cumulative tests conducted so far to 55,23,40,168, the government said.

The daily positivity rate has been recorded at 1.97 per cent. According to ministry data, it is less than 3 per cent for the last 20 days.
The weekly positivity rate has been recorded at 2.04 percent. The ministry said that it has been below 3 per cent for the last 86 days.
A total of 80,33,75,147 vaccine doses have been administered so far, the Union Health Ministry said in an official statement issued on Saturday. It further states that out of these 80 crore, the last 10 crore Kovid-19 vaccine doses were given in just 11 days.
Till 7 pm on Saturday, more than 77.25 lakh (77,25,076) doses of vaccine were administered. Of these, 40,87,704 were given as first dose and 36,37,372 as second dose to eligible beneficiaries.
India’s Covid-19 tally had crossed 20 lakh on 7 August, 30 lakh on 23 August, 40 lakh on 5 September and 50 lakh on 16 September last year. It had crossed 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October. , 80 lakh on 29 October, 90 lakh on 20 November and crossed the one crore mark on 19 December last year.
Two crore cases were registered in India on May 4 and three crore on June 23.
