Kovid: 30,000 new cases were reported in India after 132 days. India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: India recorded 29,689 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. This is the lowest daily increase in new cases in four months.
Before reaching the peak of the second wave, the country had last recorded less than 30,000 new cases on March 17, 132 days ago.
On July 20, 30,093 cases were reported during the fall of the second wave.

The daily positivity rate has come down to 1.73 per cent. Health ministry data said the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 2.33 per cent.

There were 415 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total number to 421,832.
The country’s active caseload has come down to less than 4 lakh after a gap of 124 days, according to a Health Ministry report; It currently stands at 398,100, which is 1.27% of the total cases.
The pulse cases have seen a sharp decline since the second wave of the pandemic began in the first fortnight of May. During the peak in May, the average daily growth remained above the 4 lakh mark.
A total of 44,19,12,395 vaccine doses have been given in the country so far. According to the data of the Ministry of Health, yesterday’s figure was more than 66 lakhs.
The number of people vaccinated with 2 doses is now 9,53,96,246.
17,20,110 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Monday, taking the total number of tests conducted so far to 45,91,64,121.
