Kovid-19: Tight restrictions in four more districts of Kerala, the war room is back. Thiruvananthapuram News – Times of India

Thiruvananthapuram: A COVID-19 In the review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday, it has been decided to include four more districts- Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Idukki- districts under Category C where there are strict restrictions.
At present, only Thiruvananthapuram has been included in Category C. While Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Wayanad and Kannur districts are included in Category B, Malappuram and Kozhikode are in Category A. Category wise restrictions will apply. In these districts, since Friday, Kasaragod does not fall under any of these categories.
No political, social, cultural and religious function or any other public function will be allowed in C category districts and maximum 20 people will be allowed for death-related or marriage functions. Swimming pools, movie theaters and gyms will also remain closed in the districts falling in this category.
A round-the-clock war room in the Secretariat, which was functional during the first two waves of the pandemic, has become operational once again. The war room will monitor the availability of COVID beds, ICU beds, ventilators, etc. in the state hospitals. The Chief Minister asked the officials to take necessary steps as the increase in the number of Kovid-19 affected people will also affect the hospitals. He also asked the officials to strengthen the Kovid-19 Jagriti Samiti. The recommendations of the expert panel were agreed in the meeting that if symptoms appear, the COVID-19 test will be done in hospitals before treating the person for any other disease. The Chief Minister has also directed to set up special dialysis facilities for the Kovid-19 affected in those hospitals which have dialysis facilities. news network
