Kovid-19: Kerala’s wave recedes, India registers 38k cases India News – Times of India

Gradual decline in fresh cases of Kovid-19 continues Kerala, as a result of which the new infections recorded in the country came down to 38,000 on Friday.
India reported 37,868 fresh infections of the virus, down from 39,249 on Thursday. Kerala reported 25,010 cases, down from the previous day’s tally of 26,200. The daily cases in the state have crossed 30,000 in just one day so far this week (Wednesday), as against three cases in the previous week.
On Friday, Kerala reported a test positivity rate – the percentage of positive cases out of the total samples tested – at 16.53%, a slight drop from 16.69% on Thursday. The daily TPR in the state had crossed 19% last week.
Meanwhile, there were 310 deaths in the country on Friday. The toll has been declining steadily for the past several weeks.
