AHMEDABAD: Gujarat added 48 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, witnessing 40 or more daily cases for the sixth consecutive day. With the death of one active patient in Surat district, the death toll rose to 10,095.
The city again recorded a spike with 17 Covid cases in a day, taking the active cases to 110. Municipal corporation areas accounted for 81% of the daily cases, the highest in the past fortnight.
Among the new cases are 17 in Ahmedabad city, 8 in Surat city, 7 in Vadodara city, 4 in Bhavnagar city, 2 in Jamnagar city and 1-1 in Rajkot city, Anand, Bharuch, Kheda, Kutch, Navsari, Surendranagar, Tapi and Valsad. district.
