On Friday afternoon in Supaul, an inter student was shot dead in broad daylight by a domineering man. Because the girl had refused to talk to that man. The injured student is being treated in a private clinic. There the student narrated his ordeal. First know in his words, what happened on Friday –

‘We were coming back from college. There were three other friends as well. Then that boy named Mukesh came in front of the bike. He started asking the girls with me to leave. But we said that no one should go. We will not be alone. Then he said that you are not afraid of dying are you? On this we said that what is the point of being afraid of dying. One day everyone has to go. Everybody has to die. Then we hid between the two girls but he opened fire.

Describing about the shooter, he said that ‘he was lying behind for almost two years. But we didn’t talk. He used to call home. Everyone in the house including mom and didi knew that he was calling.

The friend who stayed with told the rest of the story
His friend, who was with the injured student at the time of the incident, said that the boy had come to his brother in college. Been behind for the last several months. Never used to say anything. But that day suddenly came. After listening to him, she (the injured student) started hiding behind me. He fired the first shot that didn’t work. Till then we went ahead, then shot another bullet from behind and ran away from the bike.

There was uproar after the incident
This incident is from Katayamahe in Pipra police station area. The injured student was returning home after studying from Jagdish Mandal Inter College. Then stopping him on the way, he was shot by a boy named Mukesh. Later, people also raised slogans against the police by blocking the Pipra-Supaul road near Kataiyamahe. On getting the information, DSP Indraprakash reached the hospital. After talking to the victim student and his family members, it was said that the accused would be caught soon.
