The person’s personality has grown from troubles, what is the use of a waterfall that does not hit the rocks. Something similar is the passion of Mamta Yadav, daughter of Basai, a small village in Mahendragarh district of Haryana, who has cracked the country’s toughest UPSC exam.

Mamta had cleared the civil service exam in her very first attempt, but the dream of becoming an IAS remained unfulfilled in her mind, as the rank was far away. But Mamta did not give up and worked hard for 10 to 12 hours a day. At last the day had come, which he was waiting for.

Mamta has secured 5th rank across the country in the Union Public Service Commission’s 2020 examination. There is no limit to Mamta’s happiness. Mamta has given full credit to the entire family including her teachers, father Ashok Kumar, mother Saroj Devi, uncle Vijay Kumar and Satyanarayana, brother Mahesh Yadav. Mamta Yadav says that with hard work and dedication, even the most difficult goals made by yourself can be accomplished.

Mamta Yadav’s father Ashok Yadav, a resident of Basai village, works in a private company, while her mother Saroj Yadav is a housewife. Mamta’s entire education has been done in Delhi itself. Mamta Yadav studied till 12th from Balwant Rai Mehta School of GK (Greater Kailash) in Delhi, then graduated from Hindu College of DU (Delhi University).

Mamta Yadav, who dreamed of flying high by taking the title of topper from the very first step of the examination, was preparing for the civil service examination for 4 years. In the year 2019, Mamta Yadav had secured 556th rank across the country. But his dream was to become an IAS. Parents encouraged and once again Mamta started efforts.

Earlier Mamta used to study for 8 to 10 hours, but this time she studied for 10 to 12 hours to become a topper. Mamta Yadav mostly did self study for UPSC. When the results of the examination came on Friday, the happiness of Mamta Yadav and her family knew no bounds. Mamta Yadav brought laurels not only to the family but also to the region by getting 5th rank across the country in this difficult examination. Mamta Yadav has also passed SSC exam before this.
