KK’s son Nakul Krishna wrote an emotional note for the late singer, posted pictures: ‘It’s been a while for me…’

Late singer KK’s son Nakul Krishna penned an emotional note remembering all the memorable times he spent with his father. Iconic singer KK passed away on May 31 after falling ill while performing at a concert in Kolkata. Three weeks after his death, Nakul took to Instagram to remember the ‘Goodbye’ singer and said that it took him a while to come to terms with his father’s demise, which happened 3 weeks ago.

KK’s son posted a few pictures of the two together and wrote, “Took me a while to understand what happened 3 weeks ago. The pain is still physical, like I am suffocating, like people are standing on my chest. I wanted to say something, share something about my dad but in the end I understood the immobility in a state of shock. I finally understand the true pain, I have only now realized the privilege you gave me, not the privilege of a comfortable life, I always knew I was blessed in that regard. The greatest privilege I’ve ever had was the opportunity to see you everyday.”

“So many people just wanted to see you once, once in your presence, half a hug would make them tremble. And here we were every moment showered and drenched with your love. I got to see your perspective on everything; How you treated people, how passionate you were about everything you did, especially singing. How generously you loved it. Focusing only on the positive, and completely ignoring the negative,” They said.

Sharing that KK always treated him like an equal and adult, but at the same time ‘protected’ and ‘shielded’ him, Nakul also said that KK trusted him, let him be himself , listen to them and keep an open mind for your opinion. “People told me about my relationship with my father and I always felt something strange. It took me a long time to realize that our relationship was different than most. You have set the bar very high as a father, but more importantly as a friend. A fierce force of nature… mesmerizing on stage and a boisterous, selfless, crazy cartoon at home is constantly joking around and playing around,” Nakul said.

He ended the emotional note by saying that his father was ‘a bright brief genius who turned very bright very quickly.’ He wrote, “That impossible line, where the waves plot, where they return. That’s where you and I will probably meet again.”

Earlier, on the occasion of Father’s Day, Nakul had also shared pictures of himself and KK. He said the singer exemplified ‘the very definition of a loving father’. Nakul said that KK always gave priority to his family.
