KK’s last song will feature in Anil Kapoor and Divya Khossla’s upcoming film Savi. The film will be released on May 31.
It has been nearly two years, but it still takes a moment to come to the fact that singing legend KK is no more. An entire generation grew up listening to his songs, and thus his sudden demise left hundreds of fans heartbroken. While KK has given us many memorable songs, his last song is now all set for release. As announced by the film producer Mukesh Bhatt, KK’s last song will be featured in the Anil Kapoor and Divya Khossla starrer Savi. The film’s motion poster, along with its trailer, is already out.
Speaking at the trailer launch event, Bhatt made the surprising revelation, further sharing that the singer recorded the song just a week before passing away.
KK’s Last Song Set For Release
At a multiplex where Savi’s trailer launch was organised, Mukesh Bhatt spoke to the media and said, “This film features the last song crooned by a very dear friend, KK. He was a singer par excellence, and I have always cherished my friendship with him. Together, we worked on many songs, and he gave so many chartbusters to the industry. You guys will get to experience the last song by him in Savi. He passed away one week after recording the song.”
As soon as the news broke, fans were left emotional and happy, as they would have one last chance to hear their favourite singer’s soulful vocals.
The acclaimed singer Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK, passed away on May 31, 2022, after a suspected cardiac arrest following a live performance at Kolkata’s Nazrul Manch. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead. The news left KK’s fans, friends and his family in deep shock.
The singer is recognised for some of his unforgettable tracks like Yaaron, Pal, Tadap Tadap, Beete Lamhein, Aankhin Mein Teri, It’s The Time To Disco and others.
