Kitchen hacks: Make corn casserole and use leftover rice, know how to make this dish

New Delhi: Many times the quantity of home-made rice exceeds the consumption requirement. In such a situation, everyone thinks that how to use the leftover rice properly. A healthy and tasty alternative is to use up your leftover rice.

One can make corn pulao using the leftover rice and add more as per the taste requirement of a person. According to your taste, you can add vegetables to use the leftover rice.

Leftover Rice Corn Casserole

1- First of all turn on the gas and keep the cooker on medium flame.
2- Now add 2 tsp vegetable oil and 1-2 tsp ghee.
3- First add whole spices including 2 bay leaves, 2 starnise, 2 big cardamom, a little mace, a piece of cinnamon.
4- Now add 1 chopped onion in it and fry the onion till it turns brown.
5- Now add spices like 1 and 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder, 1 and 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder, 1 teaspoon red chili powder and mix it.
Add 6- 1 and 1/2 tsp garam masala powder, 3-4 cloves and 5-6 black peppercorns.
7- Now add about half a cup of fresh corn to it and mix.
8- Add little water so that the spices do not stick.
9- Now add the remaining rice and mix.
10- Cook on medium flame for 5-10 minutes. Now delicious Veg Corn Pulao is ready.
