South-Korean brand – Kia has started delivery of vehicles to defense personnel as a registered CSD seller. The CSD deliveries began in the first phase with the handing over of the Seltos from the CSD to Major General Vikal Sahni at Frontier Kia, Gurugram. The keys were handed over by Mr. Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales & Business Officer, Kia India. The brand has received over 100 orders from defense personnel through CSD and will soon commence deliveries of Sonet and Cairns across its nationwide dealerships.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Myung-Sik Sohn, Chief Sales & Business Officer, Kia India, said, “India’s defense personnel are true heroes, and we at Kia India are honored to be able to serve them with this new initiative. Are. This is another milestone in our journey and a humble initiative to partner with our men and women in uniform for the immense contribution of our men and women in the security of this great nation.

The company currently sells a total of 4 products in the Indian market – Sonet, Seltos, Carens and Carnival. It also showcased the new-gen Carnival as the Kia KA4 at the 2023 Auto Expo. The bulky-looking MPV confirms its size with a long wheelbase of around 3100 mm. In addition, it gets 19-inch alloy wheels to carry the heavy body.

In addition, the KA4 draws power from a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine that generates 291 horsepower and 355 Nm of peak torque. A 2.2-litre diesel engine with 198 horsepower and a maximum torque output of 440 Nm is also an option. The diesel variant of the MPV, which will be available only with an 8-speed automatic transmission, is expected to be sold in India.
