‘Khelo India Youth Games-2021’ will start today at 7.30 pm. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will reach Tau Devi Lal Sports Stadium in Panchkula Sector-3 today for this. In this regard, Panchkula Traffic Police has issued an advisory. People have been asked to refrain from crossing some roads.
This is the route, don’t go through these paths today
The VVIP route made by Panchkula Police includes Old Panchkula to Zirakpur Highway (going from Tau Devi Lal Stadium Sector 3), Majri Chowk to Zirakpur side, Inner Road, Traffic Light Point Sector 3 to Tau Devi Lal Stadium. The road leading to and from the old dumping ground Sector 23 Chowk side is included. This route will remain in place from 4 pm to 9.30 pm. In such a situation, Panchkula Police has appealed to the common people not to use these routes and use other alternative routes.

Sports festival will run till June 13
The Khelo India Youth Games will run from June 4 to 13, about which there is a lot of enthusiasm among the players and sports lovers. At the same time, colorful programs will also be organized daily for the players and spectators at the venue.
250 crore organized
The 4th edition of ‘Khelo India Youth Games-2021’ is being jointly organized by Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Under this, Rs 250 crore will be spent for organizing the games. Out of this amount, Rs 139 crore has been spent on construction of new sports infrastructure and improvement of old infrastructure.

Includes traditional games
For the first time, 5 traditional sports have been included in the Khelo India Games. These include Gatka, Kalaripayattu, Thang-ta, Malkhamb and Yoga. Among them, Gatka, Kalaripayattu and Thang-Ta are traditional martial arts, while Malakhambh and Yoga are associated with fitness.
Seating arrangement for 7 thousand spectators in the stadium
Around 8500 players, coaches and support staff from across the country will participate in the event. Here the players will show their strength in the field for the 1866 medals. These include 545 gold, 545 silver and 776 bronze medals.
25 Games will be organized in 5 cities Panchkula, Ambala, Shahabad, Chandigarh and Delhi. Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex located in Sector-3 of Panchkula will be the main venue. There is a seating arrangement for about 7 thousand spectators.
