Sriti Jha features on Khatron Ke Khiladi 12
Khatron ke Khiladi 12 is currently shooting abroad with filmmaker Rohit Shetty as host. “Kumkum Bhagya” actress Sriti Jha says playing fictional characters in television shows is easier than being real in reality shows. In her career spanning 15 years, Jha has acted in popular TV serials – “Dhoom Machao Dhoom”, “Jyoti”, “Dil Se Di Dua… Saubhagyavati Bhava” and “Balika Vadhu”. Now that she is foraying into the reality space with ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, the actor said that she is nervous.
“In this show, I have to be myself. I second guess, which I don’t like. If the camera isn’t there, I get scared. I’ll say and do a lot of embarrassing things. I judge myself a lot. I’ I am more comfortable doing daily soaps. I enjoy the mundane, routine life of an actor. But it (‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’) is much more difficult for me,” the 36-year-old actor told PTI.
Jha said that he was offered “Khatron Ke Khiladi” in 2021 as well but could not take it due to scheduling conflicts with “Kumkum Bhagya”, on which he recently concluded his eight-year long stint . “It so happened that my journey (on ‘Kumkum Bhagya’) had a climax and this (‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’) happened. I was free and was like, ‘Why not give this show a try?’ The actor, who is one of the contestants of season 12 of “Khatron Ke Khiladi”, said.
The upcoming adventure-based reality show, hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty, will premiere on July 2 on Colors channel. When asked if she would ever want to participate in another popular reality show “Bigg Boss”, Jha simply said, “No ‘Bigg Boss'”. The actress said she has “a lot of respect” for the people participating in the reality show and is “very comfortable being the immaculate version of herself on camera. It takes a lot of courage,” she said.
