KGF 2 Marks First Anniversary With ‘Monster Cut’ Video; Fans Demand Next Part of Yash’s Film

Yash starrer KGF 2 completes one year of its release today. To mark the first anniversary, the makers released an action-packed ‘Monster Cut’ video as a tribute to the gun-wielding hero Rocky Bhai and his enduring spirit that captured the hearts of fans. Running for three minutes and four seconds, the video showcases some incredibly thrilling and intense moments along with the climactic scenes from KGF: Chapter 2. “Get ready to relive the action and drama as KGF Chapter 2 completes one year with a bang!” Captions accompanying the video read out.

The promotional video received a lot of love from fans, who filled the comments section with requests for a third part. “Waiting for KGF Chapter 3,” wrote one of the users, and several others expressed a similar sentiment. Actress Srinidhi Shetty also marked the occasion with her throwback pictures from the sets and wrote, “As I look back on this day one year ago, my heart is in gratitude for the love you guys have showered since then are filled. KGF is an emotion for me. My home, my first and our pride. 1 year of KGF Chapter 2.”

Earlier, in an interview with Galta Plus, filmmaker Prashant Neel talked about the possibility of making KGF 3. He mentioned that the demand for a new chapter stems from people’s love for the world and the character portrayed in the film. “Chapter 3 is definitely a possibility. That too comes out of compulsion. People have loved this world, they have loved this character and we will continue with it.” The director also mentioned that he had an idea for the third chapter for a long time, but needed to take a break before working on it.

KGF: Chapter 2 stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. Directed and written by Prashant Neel, this historical action film portrays the story of Rocky, an assassin who has to maintain his power over his opponents and the government after becoming the new leader of the infamous Kolar Gold Fields. Produced by Hombale Films with a huge budget of Rs 100 crore, the film grossed Rs 1,000 crore at the worldwide box office.
