Arvind Kejriwal has been called to appear at the agency headquarters on Sunday at 11 am to answer the questions of the investigation team as a witness in the case.

A day after the CBI summoned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in an excise policy matter, his Bihar counterpart has been summoned Nitish Kumar said on Saturday that Kejriwal would respond at an appropriate time to all the actions initiated against him.

Kumar was responding to questions from journalists who sought his opinion on the CBI’s summons to Kejriwal for questioning in the excise policy matter.

“People know what is happening against him (Kejriwal). He is a well known personality and has done many development works in his state. The Bihar Chief Minister said that he would respond at an appropriate time to all the actions initiated against him.

As per the notice issued by the CBI, Kejriwal has been called to appear at the agency headquarters at 11 am on Sunday to answer questions from the probe team as a witness in the case, officials said.

Kumar also told reporters, “That is why we are trying to unite more and more parties in the country against the BJP-led central government. We will all make efforts and work unitedly.

Bihar Chief Minister and his deputy Tejashwi Yadav also met AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the national capital.

Speaking at an event here on Friday, Kumar had called upon the people not to vote for the BJP in the upcoming general elections.

“If people vote for BJP, they will destroy themselves. And if people vote against BJP, they will ensure progress of not only themselves but also of the state and the country.
