Kedarnath Yatra update: Officials said today (May 5) that the registration of pilgrims for Kedarnath Yatra has been stopped till May 8 (Monday) due to the possibility of bad weather in Kedarghati for the next three to four days. According to the records of the tourism department, as on May 10 (Wednesday), 1.26 lakh pilgrims have already registered for the yatra. Till May 4, 1.23 lakh devotees had visited Kedarnath Dham. According to an official release, the Kedarnath pilgrimage route, which was closed on Thursday afternoon after a piece of glacier broke off at Bhairon, has been made accessible for pilgrims on foot.

“DDMA, SDRF, DDRF, NDRF, YMF and Police personnel have cleared snow from a glacier and made the Kedarnath Yatra route accessible for pilgrims on foot. Yatra route for horses and mules not made Has gone.” Not yet opened, snow removal work is being done at a fast pace by the workers.

The route between Bhairav ​​and Kuber Gadere was closed after a glacier broke off in the area. SDRF, DDRF, NDRF and police personnel are deployed on the glaciers for the safety of the yatris and to help them in crossing the glacier so that no unusual incident takes place.

District Magistrate Mayur Dixit encouraged SDRF, DDRF, NDRF, YMF, police personnel and officers and employees to get involved in the travel arrangements for the safety of the workers. Glaciers on the Yatra route to take special care of their own safety and the safety of the pilgrims.
