Kashmir Files records highest single day collection on 2nd Saturday, earns Rs 24.80 cr

Vivek Agnihotri’s Dream Run directed by The Kashmir Files continues at the box office. The film has rewritten history with its reception and collections. The film is getting stronger with each passing day, and its 9th day collection is proof of that. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, on its second Saturday, the 9th day, the film recorded its highest ever single day collection and crossed the 20 crore mark in a single day. The film did a great job on Saturday. 24.80 crores. The total collection of the film now stands at a massive Rs. 141.25 crores.

While earlier it was being thought that the film might cost Rs. 150 crores by the end of the second weekend, it is now clear that the film can easily cross the Rs 165 crore mark. The film is expected to earn more on Sunday i.e. 10th day and it can easily earn Rs. 28-30 crores.

The Kashmir Files had collected Rs 97.30 crore in its first week. It had a modest opening of only Rs 3.55 crore in BO. The collections gradually increased with the collections on Saturday and Sunday (Day 2 and Day 3) collecting Rs 8.50 crore and Rs 15.10 crore respectively. The film earned Rs. 15.05 cr on day 4 (Monday), Rs 18 cr on day 5, Rs. 19.05 crores on day 6, and Rs. 18.05 crores on the 7th day.

The film entered the 100 crore club on the 8th day by collecting Rs 19.15 crore. The Kashmir Files started with just 630+ screens but from the second weekend it was given 4000 screens. It is now also dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

The Kashmir Files stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi and Mithun Chakraborty in lead roles. It is also giving tough competition to Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchan Pandey which released on March 19.
