Karnataka: Visitation throughout the week at Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala | Hubli News – Times of India

Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner KV Rajendra has allowed devotees to have darshan on all days Cock’s Shri Subrahmanya Temple and Shri Kshetra shrine. But there are some conditions. Only those who are fully vaccinated will be allowed to serve in the temples. They must also have a negative RT-PCR negative not older than 72 hours.
A limited number of service coupons will be issued depending on the availability of space. This will ensure that people do not gather in large numbers, Rajendra said in the order.
All archakas, administrative staff and other staff in temples will have to undergo RT-PCR test every 15 days. Notice boards will be put up in temples to spread awareness about vaccination. The temple authorities have also been urged to arrange vaccination camps for the devotees.
With this, the weekend restrictions have been lifted from two famous temples.
Kukke Temple Executive Officer Ningaiah said that devotees can have darshan from 7 am to 11.30 pm, 12.15 pm to 1.30 pm and 2.30 pm to 7 pm on all days. “The temple was not open for devotees during the weekend in view of the pandemic. Based on a government directive, the Dakshina Kannada district administration has decided to allow devotees on Saturday and Sunday also,” the official told STOI.
He said: “The number of devotees visiting the temple on Saturday was less as the decision was taken late on Friday and many people were not aware of it.” The guest houses of Kukke Mandir will now remain open on weekends.
