In Hassan, a 42-year-old woman farmer in Kalhalli village of Holenarasipur taluk also died in a similar manner. The incident happened around 5 pm when the woman was trying to save the animals in a shed behind her house in the village. Hassan police said that her family consists of her husband and a daughter.
In Mandya, a 7-year-old child died while three others were seriously injured when a coconut tree fell on a bike and car near Marlagala village in Srirangapatna taluk on Saturday. According to the police, Priyanka (7) was seriously injured and died in the hospital.
