According to him, this is the first instance of ANEC as the post-Covid complication in the state has come to his notice.
The 13-year-old had too many antigens, indicating that the child had an infection.
The director of the hospital said that the child is now recovering. He said that ANEC can prove fatal if it is not detected and treated in time.
He said the treatment is expensive as the cost of an injection is between Rs 75,000 and Rs 1 lakh.
