Karnataka reports 41,457 new COVID-19 cases; Government refuses to impose lockdown

Karnataka recorded a massive increase of 41,457 new Covid cases and 20 deaths on Tuesday. Despite this, the state government has refused to impose a lockdown. On Tuesday, BJP national general secretary CT Ravi protested the weekend curfew and lockdown in the state, saying “the government should protect livelihoods”.
