Karnataka reports 239 new Covid-19 cases, 5 deaths Bengaluru News – Times of India

Bengaluru: Karnataka 239 new cases were reported on Tuesday COVID-19 and 5 deaths, taking the total number of infections to 29,88,760 and the death toll to 38,089, the health department said.
There were also 376 discharges in the day, taking the total number of cured people in the state to 29,42,272.
Bangalore Urban 139 new cases were reported as the city reported 190 discharges and 3 deaths.
The total number of active cases in the state is 8,370.
While the positivity rate for the day stood at 0.39 per cent, the case fatality rate (CFR) was 2.09 per cent.
Apart from Bengaluru Urban, one death each was reported tumakuru And Uttara Kannada.
The highest number of new cases were reported after Bangalore Urban Mysore 31 and Dakshina Kannada 18.
Bengaluru Urban district now has a total of 12,52,106 positive cases, followed by Mysuru with 1,79,214 and Tumakuru with 1,20,849 cases.
In discharges also, Bengaluru Urban tops with 12,29,397, followed by Mysuru at 1,76,497 and Tumakuru at 1,19,459.
Altogether a total of 5,10,07,738 samples were tested out of which 60,711 were tested on Tuesday alone.
