Mangaluru: In Mangaluru Police Karnataka‘s Dakshina Kannada The district on Monday arrested a 38-year-old man for sexually assaulting a two-year-old girl and throwing her into a saltwater fish tank of a fish processing unit.

city police commissioner N Shashi Kumar Said, “At 8 am on Monday, we received information that a two-year-old girl was suspected to have drowned. The officials reached the hospital where the child is undergoing treatment. After discussing with the doctors, the investigating officers realized that the girl was drowning together. There was an attempt to sexually abuse her.”
About 80 migrant laborers mostly from A state in Eastern India The fish processing unit is engaged in cutting and salting of fish.
The child’s parents told the police that they were in the unit till around 4 pm on Sunday and had gone out to buy a fan between 4 pm and 6 pm.
When they returned they found that their child was missing.
They searched for the child for about two hours.
Around nine o’clock in the night, they saw that the child was lying unconscious in the fish tank, which had salt water.
They tried hard to help him regain consciousness.
The survivor was taken to the hospital.
On further questioning, the people working in the unit said that they saw the accused carrying the child around 4 pm.
He was immediately picked up and questioned.
