Karnataka Lokayukta Raids BBMP Official’s Bengaluru Residence; Huge Cash, Jewellery Found

New DelhiThe Karnataka Lokayukta on Monday raided the house of a Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) official in Bengaluru after receiving a public complaint about disproportionate assets, according to news agency ANI. Over 15 officials raided the house of BBMP officer Gangadharaiah in Bangalore’s Mahalaxmi Layout. According to sources, a Superintendent of Police (SP), two Deputy Superintendents of Police and an Inspector were leading the action against Gangadharaiah, Assistant Director of Town Planning (ADTP) in BBMP.

Meanwhile, Income Tax officials on Monday launched searches at over 50 locations in connection with G Square Realtors, a private firm believed to be extremely close to the Tamil Nadu government Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).

Income tax officials are also raiding and conducting searches at the residence of Stalin’s son-in-law Sabarison’s auditor. Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai had a few days ago unearthed the ‘DMK files’, which alleged that Stalin’s son and current minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin and his son-in-law Sabarisan earned far more than their recognized sources of income.

There were allegations that G-Square had unfettered support when Stalin was deputy chief minister in his father Karunanidhi’s cabinet. Annamalai has claimed that the allegations of misappropriation of money were leveled against him not only under the current DMK government, but also during the tenure of M. Karunanidhi.

Income Tax Department raided the residence of DMK MK Mohan

The Income Tax Department on Monday raided the house of DMK MLA MK Mohan, a close aide of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. Meanwhile, simultaneous raids are being conducted at the offices of a real estate corporation suspected of having links with the chief minister. The house of Praveen, the cousin of Stalin’s son-in-law Sabarisan, is also being raided.

Raids are also being conducted at the residence of Praveen, who is a cousin of Stalin’s son-in-law Sabrisan. Income Tax officials also searched the residence of Sabarison’s auditor Shanmugaraj.
