Davangere: A Police-Public Residential School Has Arrived In Kondajjik Village In Harihar Taluk davanagere District.
The school, built at a cost of Rs 13.5 crore on a sprawling 10-acre campus with forest and a lake in the background, is getting ready to admit students. Provision has been made to admit students from classes VI to X, and it is open to children of police personnel and general public from any part Karnataka.

According to a senior police officer, the school comes under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Police Range which includes the districts of Davangere, Chitradurga, Shivamogga and Haveri.
“We are glad that a well-equipped building with hostels is coming up in our village,” said Devraj, a local resident, who had opened a training center for Scouts and Guides five decades ago by former MP Kondaji Basappa. It has hosted state level training programs related to Scouts and Guides.
Aqua sporting events including boating competitions are held at Kondaji Lake, making Kondaji a popular picnic spot in the Davangere district. Another villager, Mudegoudappa, said the presence of Morarji Desai Residential School and Indira Gandhi Residential School in the area has made Kondajji village an educational hub.
