Karnataka Elections: JP Nadda Says Only BJP Has Ideological Background, Mass Following

BJP national president JP Nadda said on Monday that his is the only party in the country which has ideological background, cadre base and mass support.

Almost all other political parties in the country, including the Congress, are families or dynastic parties, while for the BJP the party itself is a family, he said.

“We are privileged people that we are workers of BJP… From my political experience I can say that BJP is the only party in the country which has ideological background, cadre base and mass followers,” Nadda said.

Addressing the district booth committee session here, he said, BJP is the only party which has ideological consistency and continuity.

“Following our ideology which was laid down by Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Article 370 was repealed on 6 August 2019, this is the ideological strength of BJP.

Further stating that no political party in this country has stuck to one ideology for a long time, the BJP president said that all political parties have become families or dynastic parties.

He said, ‘Take the name of any party, you will see that it is a family party. The Congress party is also a family party as mother, son and daughter are all members of its working committee.”

“While all parties are family parties, for the BJP, the party is the family,” he said.

Nadda had earlier in the day visited the Udupi Sri Krishna Math and offered prayers.

State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel, National General Secretary CT Ravi, Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje and others were present with him in the booth committee session.

Udupi holds a special place as far as the history of the BJP is concerned, Nadda said, “When we talk about the origin of the BJP in Karnataka and its success in terms of public support, the first Udupi town The Council had won. in 1968 and that was the gateway to the South India For the party at that time.” He also recalled his association with BJP veteran and former minister late VS Acharya, who hailed from Udupi.
