Only those who have received at least one COVID vaccination shot will be allowed to go to theaters and pubs.

The Karnataka government on Friday approved opening of full house shows in cinemas and pubs, especially for pregnant women and children, from October in the state. The decision was announced after a meeting of the COVID Expert Committee chaired by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. Bommai said that with Yadgir, Kalaburagi and Mysore districts recording low vaccination rates, Revenue Minister R Ashok and Health Minister K. Sudhakar will visit those districts and create awareness with local representatives and NGOs and religious institutions.

Complete list of guidelines announced by the Chief Minister:

  1. In districts with a positivity rate of less than 1 percent, classes from 6 to 12 will be conducted with full strength from Monday to Friday.
  2. Cinemas will operate at full capacity in all districts with less than 1 percent Kovid positivity
  3. Pubs in the state will also be allowed to function from October 3 under the same condition, and if the Covid positivity rate is more than 2 per cent, pubs and cinema halls will be closed.
  4. Only those who have received at least one COVID vaccination shot will be allowed to go to theaters and pubs.
  5. Night curfew has been extended from 9 pm to 10 pm
  6. Separate guidelines for Dussehra festival.
  7. Strict rules will be applicable in the border districts of Maharashtra and Kerala.
