Kargil Vijay Diwas 2023: Every year on 26 July, India observes Kargil Vijay Diwas and honors the bravehearts who sacrificed their lives during the war against Pakistan in July 1999. During the winter of 1998–1999, Operation Vijay was launched by the Indian Armed Forces following the capture of Kargil posts by the Pakistani Army. The war went on for 60 days in Kargil in Ladakh.
