Kareena Kapoor Khan’s genome sequencing report for Omicron is negative: BMC

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan recently tested positive for COVID-19. Bebo shared the news on her social media and revealed that she has isolated herself after contracting the virus. Now, amid rising cases of Omicron virus in the country, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a statement revealing that the genome sequence report of Kareena Kapoor Khan for Omicron is negative.

An ANI report reads, “Genome sequencing report of actress Kareena Kapoor Khan” omicron Negative is: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation”.

The ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ actress shared a note on her social media after testing positive for COVID-19. The note read, “I have tested positive for COVID-19. I immediately isolated myself following all medical protocols. I request anyone who came in contact with me, please get tested. My family and staff have also been double vaccinated. They are currently not showing any symptoms. Thankfully, I am feeling fine and hopefully I will be fine soon.”

Apart from Kareena Kapoor Khan, her bff Amrita Arora also tested positive for COVID-19. The two had attended a house party hosted by Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor last week.

Kareena Kapoor also shared a post on her social media as she self-isolated after testing positive for the virus. She said in her post that she is missing her kids and wrote, “Covid I hate you. I miss my kids but you… soon. Will do so”.

Meanwhile, speaking on the professional front, Kareena Kapoor Khan will be next seen in the upcoming film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ opposite Aamir Khan. The film is all set to hit the theaters on April 14, 2022.
