Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most followed celebrities in B-town. The actress, who portrays the role of a mother, sister and wife in real life, considers her films and their characters as important as her real life. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Kareena revealed the elements she keeps in mind for a ‘perfect project’.
The Jab We Met actress told the news portal, “I have always been selective about the projects that I take up. If I find a script really interesting, I immediately come on board. I am one such Blessed to be in the position where I can pursue my career the way I want, while still being able to give my family the time and attention they need. For me, the right project is always about story and character And also about the people who will be with me in the journey of that project,” said Kareena.
The actress who plays the role of a mother, sister and wife in real life considers her films and their characters as important as her real life. The actress shared with HT, “I love being wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend as much as I love creating different characters on screen. I have found my balance. I have worked very hard over the last 20 years and what matters most to me today is how my family, friends, fans and audience see me.”
Kareena Kapoor was last seen in the 2019 film Good Newwz, which she did after having her first child, Taimur. Now, after being Jehangir aka Jeh, he has projects like Laal Singh Chaddha, Hansal Mehta’s next, and Sujoy Ghosh’s book adaptation.
The actress was asked if she consciously decided to take it easy so that she doesn’t miss her kids’ growing up years. To which she immediately reacted saying, “Having kids hasn’t changed the way I analyze scripts”.
The 41-year-old actress shared that she feels blessed to be in a position to follow her career in such a way that she gets enough time for her family and kids.
The actress also drew on the world’s life-changing experiences over the years, and shared that taking your time deciding on the right project should not be misunderstood as being slow.
“It’s more about priority and timing. We have all gone through life-changing experiences around the world in the last 2 years, and in many ways, it helped us all see that,” says the Jab We Met actress That’s what’s most important.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan has been roped in for Sujoy Ghosh’s thriller alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma. This film marks his OTT debut.
The actress is gearing up for the release of Laal Singh Chaddha opposite Aamir Khan. The film will release on 11 August 2022. The film also stars Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in lead roles. She is also a part of Karan Johar’s Takht.
