On Monday, Bollywood actresses Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora tested positive for Covid-19. He, along with other celebs, recently attended Bollywood director Karan Johar’s private party at his residence. The filmmaker hosted a party at his home last week to celebrate 20 years of his film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham… which was attended by several stars including Seema Khan and Maheep Kapoor, who have also tested positive. Artists like Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and fashion designer Manish Malhotra also attended the party.
Around the same time, Anil Kapoor’s daughter and producer Rhea Kapoor hosted a party which was also attended by Kareena, Karisma, Malaika, Amrita Masaba Gupta and Poonam Damania at their Mumbai home. But it is reported that Sohail Khan’s wife Seema had tested Covid earlier. He started showing some symptoms soon after the party. His report came positive on December 11. His son Yohan Khan and sister Richa Sajdeh have also tested positive. On the same day, Kareena and Amrita also tested positive and came out positive.
After testing positive, the spokesperson of the Laal Singh Chaddha actor had released a statement which said, “Kareena has been extremely responsible during the lockdown period. She is careful every time she goes out. Unfortunately, this time he and Amrita Arora contracted Covid at an intimate dinner where some friends had gathered for a catch-up. As mentioned it was not a big party. In that group, there was one person who seemed unwell and was coughing, and who eventually passed it. This person should have been responsible enough not to attend the dinner and put others at risk,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson also said, “As soon as she tested positive, she has quarantined herself and is following the necessary precautions and protocols to deal with the situation. It is not fair to blame her and say that she has been irresponsible and let her guards down. Kareena is a responsible citizen and she is also concerned and cared about the safety of her family.”
The actor has isolated himself along with his sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh while her husband Saif Ali Khan is shooting for Vikram Vedha remake in Lucknow. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has also sealed the buildings of Kareena and Amrita.
On the other hand, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai filmmaker and his family members and staff have tested negative for COVID-19, the filmmaker announced in a statement today. In fact, KJo said, he got himself tested twice to be safe.

Others who tested negative are Amrita’s sister Malaika, Kareena’s sister Karisma, fashion designer Manish Malhotra, Maheep’s husband Sanjay Kapoor and their children (Sanjana and Jahan) and Alia Bhatt. Malaika’s alleged boyfriend Arjun Kapoor has not been tested for COVID yet.
